Daily housekeeping means the villa is kept spotless and an onsite butler will be at your beck and call. Pool and garden maintenance workers are there to look after the outdoor areas, and for an extra cost, you can also hire a driver, chef or nanny to help with the kids. Located in the unspoilt neighborhood of Pandawa Beach Uluwatu area in southern Bukit peninsula, this villa provides a flavour of forgotten Bali. Sometimes called Secret Beach because of the way it is hidden in a curve of the limestone cliffs, this is a little visited and idyllically undeveloped area. The Karang Saujana Estate is located at the end of a snaking road, atop of the crags and provides an atmosphere of unrivalled serenity.

The master bedroom is to the left of the main entrance. It’s a lush arena of high-quality furnishing surrounded by glass doors and open to the views of the blue sky. This room is complete with ocean facing couches, cable television and a stunning ensuite with double basins, bath and rainfall shower. Accents of fuschia, apricot and cream give it a soft and luxurious feeling of escape. Room number two also sits on the top floor. It’s a double room facing its own private garden and dressed in shades of pink. The polished wooden floors and colourful art are matched by a marble ensuite with a gorgeous rainfall shower. There’s plenty of wardrobe storage and of course a television and desk to complete the setup. The third and fourth bedrooms are both downstairs, they are twin rooms which can also be converted to king beds and face the front garden and have sliding doors that open to the terrace. Both are airy, stunningly decorated spaces with ensuites, loads of shade and direct access to the garden. Each also has cable television and an area to set up your computer.
